I like to camp. ⛺️ we have an extra car battery and I want to use it for laptop and some charging power in remote locations. Should I use this inverter method? Or get a Golf ⛳️ cart battery and use that with an inverter? Certainly Don’t want to fry me or my devices. And that is what the inverter prevents correct?

Batterys 12.9 but charger said 9.5 and wpuldnt let me choose the vehicle. The charger now won't light up it only flashes a little light on the scrern when first plugged into the house mains.

I purchased a Durostar generator. It is the first generator I have owned. I will need to store my generator for 6 months over the winter (summer home.) My first thought was to store it using Stabil (as we do with our lawn mowers and lawn tractors.) However, Duromax says to drain the tank, drain the carburetor, and lube the spark plug chamber. I want to follow the manufacturer's instructions, but doing it as you do in this video would make my life 100% easier. Undecided.

I have new Ryobi HP 2ah battery not charging and one followed by four green light flashing, I check the voltage all the cell have 3.5 but one cell showing .35 volt. Any clue how to fix it.

I learned what Electricians consider a bonded ground.... thanks .... My previous buba understanding of bonded meant it was soldered... I now know that is not what a Bonded Ground is...

Okay just to make sure before a short something out or blow up a battery I put the third wire on the ground lead is that correct

Extremely thorough but Please maybe I missed it and I’m getting conflicting info from different sources including n manufacturers. My generator is neutrally grounded but is going to be hooked up w a 50 amp inlet plug on my home to the 50 amp breaker in my main with an interlock device. So in this direct connection I Do need a ground rod attached to generator ? And if so do I disconnect the neutral bond wire on the alternator? Thanks in advance. Just trying to get some clarification

My anode tube is deep into the heater - about 3 inches. I'm going to try to use an impact wrench. The reason is that you don't have to hold the water heater still. But I will still need a deep socket.

I see this is a 2 year old video so this may not get answered. I’ve installed a Generator Interlock kit on my electrical panel for when I need to use the generator for backup power. Will I use a Bonded or Floating neutral with a 50amp cord from the generator to a 50amp inlet box that is wired (6/3) to a 50amp breaker in the panel.

Fun fact: My Ryobi battery stopped charging and was totally dead. Got a new one, took out the batteries and everything else like he did from the new one and put my broken batteries in the new shell. Then I returned it the same day for a full refund. Worked great! Those small plastic lids over the screws are a bit tricky but they can be removed without any trace.

i Googled "E-1" error code and this video came up. Can confirm "over discharge" was the cause. Since the charger is only looking at the voltage and doesn't do a current pull any 12V DC source will work to "trick" the charger. I used my buddies charger and slid the clamps from his charger to mine while connected to the battery. You could probably stack x4 watch batteries if you wanted to MacGyver this.

Man you are exactly correct the design of these refrigerators kills me. I never thought of using a fan and compressor because I always used a brush and vacuum but you still can only do so much . Almost impossible to reach those inside lines to clean. Thanks for how to

That was some great information. Didn’t know why batteries that were dead for a long time the reason they won’t work. Hope mine can be resurrected, but now I know why it can’t if it doesn’t.

This is an absolutely correct explanation of generator connections. Very well explained. To be clear, the available fault current from small generators is no where near high enough to quickly trip a breaker magnetically from a fault. It will however, for a longer period of time trip from overcurrent. It is splitting hairs!

Thank you thank you thank you have internally grounded portable generator with a bonded neutral The guys that set up all of the cabling for a three-phase 120 208 system put in grounding rods in addition to bonding the three generators to themselves getting a reading from hot to ground of 120. Suspect that ground rods are not applicable or advised. Now I'll take this information and do more research but I think I've come to the conclusion that grounding rods should not be used on internally bonded isolated generators not attached to a house system. The only advantage is during a lightning strike from what I've learned from your video
